The PlantSim Challenge was released on the 13th April 2017 and runs until the 4th of May 2017. If you complete the challenge you can grow a magical tree portal which will allow you to collect new seeds and even change into a PlantSim yourself!
Angry is an emotion available in The Sims 4. It occurs when a Sim experiences negative interactions with other Sims. This emotion can evolve into very angry and then enraged. Sims that are enraged for too long will die from anger (a cardiac explosion).

- Do anything to get them playful, even the 4 hour long +1 moodlet you get from browsing Sims.tv is enough. Then have them drink a happy potion. Happy potions can be purchased from the rewards store for 200 aspiration points.
- In The Sims 4, you have multiple levels of each emotion. In the case of anger, your sim can be angry, very angry, furious or enraged. If you arrive in Enraged and do not calm down quickly, your sim will suffer a Heart Explosion and eventually die.
How To Get A Sim Angry Sims 4
Starting the PlantSim Challenge in the Sims 4
You can start the PlantSim Challenge by calling Jasmine Holiday on the phone, under the social options. She will then come to your house. You can speak to her about the challenge and she will give you a magical tree stump. You will find it in your sim’s inventory. Jasmine will explain that you can collect magic beans from local PlantSims and plant them in the stump to grow a magic portal. You will need to place the stump outside as it needs a lot of space to grow into a Mystical Magical Bean Portal Tree.
Collecting Magic Beans in the Sims 4
To be able to grow a magic tree portal you will need to collect six types of magic beans: playful, flirty, confident, sad, angry and uncomfortable. Magic beans can be collected from PlantSims. You will find an interaction “Ask for Magic Bean” when you talk to them. However, you will only receive a bean if they are in one of the same moods as the types of magic bean.
PlantSims will be found wandering around the neighbourhoods or at outdoor public lots during the daylight hours. You can identify PlantSims by their green skin colour and leafy hairstyle. You may even find that some of your neighbours have become PlantSims. They will often be in one of the moods that you need. You can tell what mood PlantSims are in as the eminate a glowing aura, in the colour of the respective bean. The colours are:
- Playful – purple
- Flirty – pink
- Confident – blue
- Sad – navy
- Angry – red
- Uncomfortable – Orange
If you can not find a PlantSim in the right mood you can always help them get in the right mood. Below is a table suggesting interactions you can perform that will help send a PlantSim into the correct mood. You can also make paintings of all the moods, with the exception of uncomfortable, on the easel, and then invite the Plantsim into your house and activate the paintings aura.

Making a PlantSim Uncomfortable in the Sims 4
The Uncomfortable Magic Bean is the hardest to get, as it is hard to make another sim uncomfortable from interactions, and you can not use an emotional painting to put them in this mood. The easiest option is to just wait until you find one. In play testing we seemed to find more uncomfortable PlantSims wandering around in the late afternoons. You can identify them from their orange aura.
However, you could always invite a PlantSim to hang out, sit and chat with them in a bedroom, and lock the door and wait until they become uncomfortable due to need for food, water or hygiene. This is a mean approach but it is effective.
Getting the Magic Beans through Cheats
If you do not want to wait to grow your Mystical Magical Bean Portal Tree, you can purchase the seeds from build mode by using cheats. To be able to do this you will need to do the following:
- Open the command bar by pressing Control, Shift and “C” at the same time. You will see a text bar appear at the top of the screen.
- Type in the command bar the following: testingcheats on
- Press enter
- Then type: bb.showhiddenobjects
- Press enter
If you then go to Build Buy mode you will notice you have more objects available. The magic beans can be found under decorations, but the easiest way to find them is to type “magic beans” in the search bar. You can buy them for $10 each. You will not complete the collection using this cheat.
Growing the Mystical Magical Bean Portal Tree in the Sims 4
Once you have collected all of the beans you can place them in any order on the notches on the tree stump. Then when you click on the stump you will have an option to water it. When you do this it will immediately grow into a Mystical Magical Bean Portal Tree.
How To Get Angry Magic Bean Sims 4
You can use the tree once a day. You can click on it to enter the portal and then will go into the tree for a while. You will return with either a “Forbidden Fruit of the PlantSims” or some random fossils, crystals, elements or metas. You can plant the forbidden fruit and allow it to grow into a tree, or you can eat the fruit and turn into a PlantSim for up to five days.
